Dr. Nalaka de Silva is an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgeon, with expertise in sleep apnoea surgery. He has published and presented his results showing that over 90% of the patients avoid a CPAP machine after contemporary sleep surgery.
Nalaka de Silva is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and performs procedures at Peninsula Private Hospital. He completed his medical degree in Newcastle and underwent ENT surgical training in Auckland. Following that, he further honed his skills with two years of post-graduate fellowship training at Monash Health in Melbourne.
Dr. de Silva strongly advocates for a holistic approach to treating sleep apnoea. With over ten years of experience in advanced sleep surgery, he has founded the Collaborative Sleep Surgery Clinic (CSSC). In addition to his surgical practice, he is actively engaged in research, blending top European techniques with Australian methods to develop the Modified BRP approach. He has proven that modern surgery, combined with non-surgical techniques, offers over 85% success rates.
